Google now uses google dialer, as the default dialer on most of the android phones available in the market today. When you start recording a call get a voice announcement about the call being recorded. Google does this to keep users’ privacy. Some flagship phones are disabled alert announcements by default. Hoping upcoming Android 13 disable it by default. For others here, is a trick you can stop calls recording announcements or you may call recording alert.
A situation where recording threatening from the caller for legal evidence may alert the caller about recording. It is very annoying that the caller understood that his / her call is recording for evidence. Here is a tutorial for your problem. The default dialer uses Speech services by google to announce the recording activities.
To get rid of call recording alerts, follow these easy steps
- Back-up your old voice recording before following these steps.
- Download the TTSLexx App from the Google play store. It’s a free app don’t worry about your wallet.
- Open your phone settings and search text to speech.
- Tap on Text to Speech Output.
- Tap on Preferred engine.
- Now switch to TTSLexx by default it is Speech services by Google.
- After tapping to TTSLexx, you will get an attention warning tap on OK, to process to the next step.
- From the Home screen and long-press the phone app icon. Tap on App Info.
- Tap on Clear Data and then on clear all data. Please note that this step will clear all your call history.
From now when you tap on recording it will not announce your call recording alert. The alert will be played before the call gets connected. Using the above setting other people won’t hear the recording alert at all.
